Louise Fitzgerald A.I.S.T.D

Principal

Having danced since the age of 2 Miss Louise gained a Distinction for a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts before going on to study on the Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance course at Preston College of Dance. Here she achieved her Advanced 1 qualification in Imperial Classical Ballet, Advanced 2 in ISTD Modern Theatre Dance, Tap Dance and National Dance, Intermediate RAD Ballet and the ISTD Gold Jazz Award, along with her Diploma in Professional Dance (now Level 6) and three Level 4 Diploma's in Dance Education (DDE) for Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance.

 Louise now has over 20 years teaching experience and hopes to keep developing the school, to offer even more classes and performance experiences for all the children both now and in the future.

Miss Shannon A.I.S.T.D

Exams and competitions

Shannon started her dance training with Miss Louise and took an interest in teaching at a young age. She became an assistant at SDA for several years before successfully gaining a place at The Royal Academy of Dance in London.

Shannon went on to graduate with a BA(Hons) in Ballet Education and as a Licentiate of the RAD.  Alongside this she also completed her Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) with the ISTD in Modern Theatre Dance.

After staying on in London for a few years to continue her teaching experience, Shannon has come full circle returning to SDA as a teacher and is looking forward to helping the next generation to fulfill their dance dreams!

Miss Carly

Musical Theatre

Carly trained in Musical Theatre at Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre, Liverpool. She started her professional career at Disneyland Paris, then performed all over the world including; Children's Theatre shows in the UK like Oliver twist and Alice in Wonderland, numerous contracts in the Middle East including the Bahrain Formula 1 as a vocalist, many Theatre pantomimes across the UK and several Cruise Ship contracts as lead female vocalist performing in Musical Theatre Production shows whilst sailing the world! She has a huge passion for teaching Musical Theatre and for encouraging children to progress and enjoy her favourite genre. Lessons will not just be about singing Musical Theatre songs they will be about performing them as a whole and having fun! 

Miss Sydney

Acro and Jazz

Sydney has recently graduated from the Level 6 Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance at Liverpool Central Studios and has already gained her Acrobatic Arts qualification whilst there.  She has been a freelance teacher alongside her training for the past couple of years and is looking forward to developing her dance and teaching skills even further.  Sydney has already made her mark on the school and is excited to build the classes, helping the children gain in confidence and self esteem!
